General FAQ
The Safer Drivers Course is a Transport for NSW approved program designed to help learner drivers improve their driving skills and awareness of road safety.
Students who complete the course receive 20 hours added to their learner logbook.
To be eligible for the Safer Drivers Course, you must:
• Hold a valid NSW learner licence
• Have completed at least 50 logbook driving hours
Students who successfully complete the course receive 20 additional hours added to their learner driver logbook.
The course can be completed in one day and includes both classroom learning and practical driving activities.
Module 1 - In class Theory 3 hours
Module 2 - In Car Practise 2 hours
Module 1 and 2 can be completed on different days. You will be notified if that is the case.
The Safer Drivers Course includes:
• Group discussions about road safety
• Hazard perception training
• Practical driving sessions
• Coaching on safer driving behaviours
No. The instructors will use their cars.
No. The Safer Drivers Course is designed to support driving practice, not replace it. Learners still need to continue gaining real driving experience.
The course helps learner drivers develop safer driving habits, better hazard awareness and improved decision-making skills, which are essential for safe driving.
